Lessons I Learned While Working & Playing

3 Keys to Impact

If I had only one opportunity to share the most important thing I’ve learned in my life about creating content that connects deeply with your audience, this is what I would tell you. It came to me from the person who’s had the most influence on my philosophy as a teacher, parent, business person and just about every other major role in my life.

It’s a bit of a departure from how I usually share information, so I hope you enjoy it.

    Hi Pam,
I know you appreciate comments on your blog, so I’ll share a few thoughts:)
As a husband to a piano teacher, father to a 3 year old, childhood playing classical piano and eventually becoming a professionally trained composer in Europe prior to the reality check of having to support a family lol, your post connected to me on many levels. The analogy of a product as a musical composition, really made sense to me at a deep level since it was such a big part of my life, and here’s the huge take away: It really solves the problem, I’m sure a lot of people have, with conceptualizing product structure both from a macro and micro perspective.

    Warm regards,
    Kevin

Ps. Your comment regarding the second variation / clusters for Happy Bday “All the wrong notes”: I think Henry Cowell might disagree with you on that one!

Ahhhh, you had me at “husband to piano teacher and classical pianist!” I also love how you articulated the key take away as it’s absolutely my intent. BTW – My mom actually discouraged me from going into music as my career for the reasons you state. I used to laugh, “how could a musician and teacher discourage me from this profession?!?” Now I get it and I’m grateful to be able to continue her message in a new platform. Thanks so much for sharing! :)
